Here I am again!

February 23rd, 2008 by Todd

As I seek God during this LENT season, God continues to give me the most incredible weekend worship experiences.  Last weekend, our Student Ministry hosted Elevation weekend.  It was beautiful new day for so many people through the worship and the teaching of God’s Word.  This weekend I have accompanied our college students to Passion Weekend at George Mason.  There are about 3,000 college age students coming together to join the movement of living for Jesus today.  The founder and leader of this movement is Louie Giglio.  I first met him back in Texas when I was a college student.  God has allowed him to lead this movement to challenge college kids all over America.  His simple statement last night for this call is “To inspire a generation to live their brief life for the things (the one) that matter most.”  He shared that there are 17 million college students in America with 80% of them not knowing or living for Jesus.  He has based the Passion ministry on the powerful verse found in the Old Testament book of Isaiah.

“Yes Lord, walking in the way of your word, we wait for you; your name and renown are the desire of our hearts.” Isaiah 26:8

I am so overwhelmed with God’s favor that He would allow me to have such amazing encounters with him.  Mount Ararat, we need to reach the college age students.  We need to lead them to give their lives to the mission of Jesus.  Be praying for our faithful crew to reach out more and to grow.  Maybe God could use you to join this incredible movement.  Check out the passion website: www.268.com

Well I gotta go.  Today, Chris Tomlin and Charlie Hall will be leading worship, and Francis Chan and Louie Giglio will be preaching!
