What a weekend!

February 24th, 2008 by Todd

I am so glad that I was able to attend the Passion Conference!  We had a an awesome group: Steve Sokoly (fearless leader), Zach Nester, Katie Eggleston, Sheena Young, Lindsay Tuberville, Brandon Scott, Erin West, Kendrick Neal, Melissa Neal, Lorin Capps, Stacy Griffits, Jon Patton, Ben Griffits, Becca Griffitts, Liam Trant, and Bekah Phelps.

It was more than a conference; it is a movement.  I know I am far removed from my college days, but there is something inspiring to be in a setting with students that are poised to go wherever God leads with no inhibition or delay.  College students are passionate and at some level raw, but most are not incumbered to say “yes Lord”.  Church, we need to be reaching this age!  We need to be letting their passion infect us!

I love you guys.  Thank you for allowing your old pastor come along.  Stay close to Jesus!  Keep saying ”Yes” to his call.

Hey Todd, Louie posted 2 pics with our crew on his 268 blog at the Passion website. One is really cool where you can see almost all of us walking through, and the other is a crowd shot, where you can see Becca and you over her left shoulder.

Hmmm….nice pictures you got up there! I must say, I had a delightful time with all ya’ll. I do have some pictures to share, but I’ll do that later (you know, never do tomorrow what you can do the day after tomorrow.) I’ve deleted the worst of them.
