In talking about “marking your home as God’s territory” I also looked around to see what would our home declare.  We have a very special print that hangs above our fireplace.  It is special in that it is specific to the heritage of Virginia.  It is a depiction of the arrival of early settlers into Jamestown.  It revealed a time of worship that was likely by this early arrivers to the new land.  I love it because it is Colonial print about what happened in this region during settlement, but I love it most because it was painted by my favorite artist, Dale Glasgow.  He is a strong believer who is committed to Jesus and the Mount Ararat family.  http://www.daleglasgow.com/

Anytime people come into our home they see faith that has already lived our.  This reminds me and my family that our lives and our worship makes a difference.  It makes a difference not just today, but also in the days to come.  The painting is called Jamestown Discovery!

Cool! I love that painting too. You also have The Gathering Band CDs
playing on your iPod or stereo 24/7, right?

Hope you’re having a good vacation and have lots of teachable moments!

Faith in my sitting room…my family was inspired by the “Raise Him Up” series as well! I purchased some stretch canvases and spray painted them black. Each 4 of my kids sat down with a canvas and white paint pen. When you walk into our home, you will see all four canvases…each one with a different word: Strength, Joy, Hope and Honor…in their own graffiti style. We plan on adding more artwork to our collection!!
