I have been moved by a story this past week from Dallas, Texas.  Check out this story about one stranger helping another stranger.  What could happen to a community if the church began to live out faith like this.

Watch this:

Woman buys another person’s house back for them!

Or Read this:

Good Samaritan buys back a woman’s home

What a fantastic story!! It’s random, selfless acts of kindness like this (and this was no small thing!) that renew my faith in humanity…

Thanks for sharing this great story!!

God bless you and your family and have a great weekend!

Wow! Now if we could get members in church to do 1/100th of this kindness to eachother, imagine the spark it would cause and the fire that would take hold of the church! Glory to Him!

Her quote here: “I always talk to everyone around me,” Mock says. “I mean you can always find out all kinds of interesting things when you talk to people around you. So I just asked her, ‘Are you here to buy a house?’ ”

Isn’t that a great approach to life? Talking to others to find out things. Being interested in them. Seeing opportunities to engage with others.

What would it mean to the world is followers of Christ adopted that perspective alone (I always talk to everyone around me)?

Deliberate conversations which could translate into deliberate acts of kindness.

Yeah, deliberate. The “random” part of the “random acts of kindness” movement never seemed to be a great fit for Christians. For Christ-followers, kind acts should be deliberate, chosen methods of demonstrating God’s love. The Spirit will have no trouble in bringing us together with those who need God’s love and kind acts.
