The Lord says: “These people come near to me with their mouth and honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me.  Their worship is made up only of rules taught by men.” Isaiah 29:13

Jesus quotes this passage in Mark 7:6-8

There are dangers in our worship.

• Ritual without Reality
• Form without Power
• Fun without Fear
• Religion without God

Real worship involves the heart, soul, and the mind.  May we worship God in Spirit and in truth (John 4:24).

“Therefore, I urge you, brothers (church), in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God–this is your spiritual act of worship.” Romans 12:1
