Yesterday was one of the most amazing Sundays in the ‘09 year. Clayton preached a powerful message on Mark 8:31-38. He focused on the call by Jesus, “take up his cross and follow me.” He gave us a historical look at what that meant then, and next he shared some thoughts of what that means now.
We must preach the cross. In the cross we discover: love, grace, mercy, hope, forgiveness, and strength. As we continue to reach the world for Christ, WE WILL CONTINUE TO PREACH THE CROSS!
“For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but us who are being saved it is the power of God.” 1 Corinthians 1:18

Yesterday was an amazing day!! Clayton’s message was so powerful. It is always a blessing to hear a message like this. I think we all need to be reminded that we always need to carry The Cross and preach it!! Sometimes we forget that.
