Today is December 1st!  Advent begins today.  May we prepare our hearts as we re-tell the story of Christmas.  This Sunday we begin a new teaching series GLORIOUS UNVEILING. 

It happened at a time of great need.  The days were filled with pain and darkness.  God had been silent.  Would he finally respond?  Would he now hear their cry?  Would he finally come?  Would he deliver his people once and for all?  The people needed hope.  They needed light.  They needed salvation.  They needed to experience the glory.  That is when it happened.  In the most unlikely way, through real parents, in a real place, during a real time in history there was a Glorious Unveiling!  God didn’t just send a message, he sent a person.  Humanity was no longer alone.  God stepped out of eternity into the human story.  He brought meaning to the deepest places–the hearts of people.Here we are, 2,000 years later still bearing witness to this Glorious Unveiling.  Although Jesus has come, we still find ourselves in a world filled with brokenness, hurt, darkness, and pain.  Many people are still living life separated from hope.  During these uncertain times, who will hear our cry?  Who will come to rescue?  Who will bring salvation?  During this Christmas season may we experience again the presence of God!  He calls for our attention, our affection, our worship.  We must respond to the Glorious Unveiling.
