Dear Pastor Todd, We hope you enjoy the news we’re bringing you from Sudan this month.

Kingdom Work
Greetings from Harvesters!
The Gospel of Christ tells us that Jesus was busy doing the Father’s business. We call it Kingdom work. He taught God’s ways, healed the wounded, loved the loveless and served the needy. Harvesters is serving God in all of these ways in order to spread God’s Kingdom message and to build up God’s Kingdom community. I want to share a few stories of opportunities we have had to teach, love and serve for the glory of God’s Kingdom over the last year. God has been at work in the church. There have been over 200 souls won to Christ this year. Many of these people come to the discipleship classes held by Pastor Pooshani in the villages. The home cell groups continue to increase, and one of our children’s cell groups has 80 children alone. This particular story really touched my heart. I pray it will touch yours as well. There is a family that lives nearby. One of the women in the family, Jocelyn, would make fun of Christians and church goers. She was involved with witchcraft, which is very active and practiced by many here. One day, when Pastor Pooshani was sharing the gospel with her, the woman was miraculously delivered from this witchcraft spirit and gave her heart to Christ. This woman almost lost her life, but the mercy and grace of God touched her and began a new work in her heart. Because of this change in her life, many family members have given their hearts to Christ as well and are attending our church weekly (see Jocelyn and some of her family with Pastor Pooshani in the picture above). To God be the Glory! Nyoko is a miracle baby. He came to us very weak and thin. After much love, nurture and a good dose of God’s grace, he now is a healthy baby boy. He was severely burned and was told he only had a 40% chance to live, but now he is thriving and doesn’t even have a scar on his body. He is truly a miracle! We have also witnessed God’s healing touch on many other orphans, village people and staff. Sofia, a little girl from our community, came to the clinic one day and needed surgery. We did not have the money to send her to Kampala, where a doctor said he would perform the surgery for free. We did, however, have a group of compassionate missionaries who pooled their money together (while I was away in the States) and sent her to Kampala to have this surgery(read more about Sofia in the next article, “Little Miracles”). This is the spirit of Christmas, LOVE. Kingdom work in Sudan is made possible because of all our supporters around the world. Thank you for being a part of this Kingdom work.

May God bless each one of you and your family this Christmas Holiday. Merry Christmas,
From our hearts to yours,

Mama Lilly Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness. When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.” Matthew 9:35-38
