Well I know I brag a “little” about my favorite football team, the Dallas Cowboys.  But with them at home during the Super Bowl, I have been asked who I am cheering for.  Obviously, I do not have any vested interest in either team.  I privately do not want the Steelers to pass the Cowboys with the most Super Wins, but with all that being said I guess I will cheer for Jesus.

I don’t know if you caught it two weeks ago, but everytime Arizona Cardinal’s quarterback, Kurt Warner is interviewed he proclaims the name of Jesus.  I have included that here for you to listen to.  Regardless of who wins this Superbowl Sunday, may Jesus name be lifted up!

OK, pastor, your sermons have shamed me into joining your blogs.

I’m cheering for Jesus, too…and the witness of Kurt Warner. I read in the book, “Wild Goose Chase” this week that ‘God often uses us as our point of greatest incompetence. That way he gets all the credit.’

Kurt Warner, an undrafted free agent from the University of Northern Iowa first leads the St Louis Rams to a Super Bowl. Then, he’s kicked to the curb as a washed-out veteran and finds a way to lead the Arizona Cardinals to their first Super Bowl, and the first NFL Championship game since 1948 when they were the Chicago Cardinals!

May God get all the credit. You can bet that He will if Kurt Warner has anything to say about it.

    …just wish Kurt was a Redskin. ;)
