It is hard to believe I have been doing ministry for almost 16 years now. I have only served 2 churches. Plymouth Park Baptist Church, and now Mount Ararat.
One of the neatest blessings in watching God call people into fulltime Christian service. This has happened within both churches.
When I was a Pastor for teenagers in Texas, I met a chubby 6th grade kid with a buzz haircut named Caleb Southerland. I had the privilege of watching him grow and develop physically, emotionally, relationally, and spiritually. I knew God was stirring his life to a great call as he navigated the tangled halls of High School.
During that time, God called and opened the door for fulltime ministry. He moved to Stafford two summers in a row to serve at Mount Ararat to develop this call (2004, 2005). He is almost finished with seminary at Dallas Theological Seminary. This past fall he and Plymouth Park started a new church, Urban Hills.
This Sunday, I get the honor and the privilege to preach at Urban Hills. God’s unfolding plans blow me away. May God’s kingdom advance. Please pray for me that I preach the gospel clearly and boldly this weekend.
Love you church!

One day you will preach at my church!
Todd– Thanks for link to Steven’s website. What a message — not just for Easter but for every day that we are here on this earth. The world tells us one thing and God’s word tells us the Truth. Although our lives are only a drop in the ocean compared to eternity, it is sad that people miss so much — so many opportunities, just trying to be/have something that they are not.
