Synergy = one or more forces coming together resulting in a greater effect than the added individual results.

Listen to the scriptures from last Sunday:

“When Jesus finished washing his disciples feet, he put on his clothes and returned to his place.  Do you understand what I have done for you?  he asked them.  You call me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord’ and rightly so, for that is what I am.  Not that I, your Lord and teacher, have washed your feet, you should wash one another’s feet.  I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you…Now that you know these things you will be blessed if you do them.” John 13:12-17

“A new command I give you: Love one another.  As I have loved you, so you must love one another.  By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love another.”  John 13:34-35

“It has given me great joy to find some of your children walking in the truth, just as the Father commanded us.  And now dear lady, I am not writing you a new command but one we have had from the beginning.  I ask that we love one another.” 2 John 4-5

“Dear friend, you are faithful in what you are doing for the brothers, even though they are strangers to you.  They have told the church about your love.” 3 John 5-6

“We ought therefore to show hospitality to such men so that we may work together for the truth.” 3 John 8

Work together = [synergo] companion in work, greater return

  • Not addition — It’s Multiplication
  • “Better together”
  • You + We = Synergy!
