I have a friend who recently was attacked by his lab (yep, a lab...what they say is one of the most docile dogs, turned on him). He may lose part of his middle finger on his left hand and has lost sensation on his ring finger. so, not only is he facing this serious injury, but he had to have the family pet put down.

But Pete didn't do it just based on this one incident. Earlier that day his lab had snapped at his little girl. He just couldn't take the chance.

Now, Pete loves to work with his hands. He helps us out with CRM although he doesn't attend MABC. In fact, he helped finish the Micah cold weather shelter on the morning before he was attacked that evening.

He probably could have overlooked the attack on himself, but just the risk of an attack on his daughter was enough to settle the point.

Was listening to a show on a Christian radio channel last week about the adoption of embryos. Seems this one lady had the idea after she'd gone to a fertility clinic, she didn't want them to just "flush" the other embryos that would have been "backups" to her attempts to have her own child. Now they are working to have embryos from fertility clinics "adopted".

Wonder how many Christians who would consider an "in utero" embryo abortion an "abomination", have given any thought to the fertility clinic embryos.

We do the best we can with what we know, where we are, when we're there.
