Well I kicked off the Christmas season the right way. I traveled down to Myrtle Beach with 25 of the Toppers (Senior Adult Ministry) group for a three day Christmas show extravaganza!!! We left at 7:30am on Tuesday morning, and arrived to catch dinner and arrive on time to the Carolina Opry Christmas show that night. It is amazing to enjoy a variety of entertainment from dancers, comedy acts, to cloggers, to country, rock and roll, and Blue grass. It was 3 hours of wow!
The next day we leisurely made our way to shopping, lunch at Ruby Tuesdays, and then the matinee show at the Alabama theater. The host Greg Rowles (a native from Stafford, Virginia) gave us extra time after the show. It was again an amazing treat of vocalists and dancing all done in the spirit of Christmas. I love how these shows are not concerned with trying to be politically correct in regards to all religions. No, they just keep pointing people to Jesus. I was encouraged (Even if I was the only one in the room under 60).
Then we went to eat again (are you getting the theme here) then drove down to South Myrtle to make it to our last show, LEGENDS. This is a show of singing impersonators. We watched Alan Jackson, Whitney Houston, Elvis, Blues Brothers, and Frank Sinatra. Much fun was had.
And the best part was walking the beach this morning before we leave. Well now we begin our journey back to Stafford. Pray for good traffic, a Cracker Barrel Restaurant, and a little bit of sleep.
I have now attended my second Senior adult trip. I served over 10 years in Student ministry in taking countless trips. I still don’t know who behaves worse. Seniors or Teenagers???!!???!
I love our seniors adults!

That sounds like so much fun =-)
Thank you so much for going with the Toppers to Myrtle Beach again. We love having you along, and it gives the “old” folks some quality conversation time with their beloved pastor!
