It was a hard decision yesterday to forgo services on December 20 due to the heavy snow.  As I shared the decision was easy in regards to safety for the body, but it was harder for the spiritual momentum of the Christmas season.  There is power in joining together with others to pray, sing, and share in God’s Word together.  I know God is not fixed on perfect attendance.  I just find such great joy being with my church family.

However, as I challenged you to do, the Gaston’s redeemed the time.  We just re-read this week’s scripture reading from the series of Artificial Christmas.  I then talked them through some of things I believed God wanted me to share this Sunday.  As we were reading and sharing in the goodness of God’s Word, I began to believe that God had me prepare that Word for us.  This has turned into being a very powerful time of worship.

A pastor friend from England sent me an email this morning.  Enjoy God’s reminder of his grace during this Snow Day!!!

Hi Todd

Just heard on the news that you have snow today – and lots of it.

We have a few inches too!!

What an amazing reminder of God’s power, of our justification and of the glory of the Lord Jesus:

He says to the snow, ‘Fall on the earth,’” (Job 37:6)

“Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow” (Is 1:18)

“His head and hair were white like wool, as white as snow, and his eyes were like blazing fire”. (Rev 1:14)

Praying that you will know God’s richest blessing as you serve Him today.  And praying for Pam and the girls too!

Yours in Christ

Robin
