“Christian Atheism = someone who believes in God, but lives as if God does not exist.” Pastor Craig Groeshel

2 Corinthians 5:14-17; Acts 26:12-18

1. What has changed since Christ saved you?  Saul vs. Paul

  • Saul = Self, Old, Critical of others
  • Paul = In Christ, new, change

“We teach people how to be saved by grace, but we don’t teach them to live by grace.” John Ortberg

“To them God chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.” Colossians 1:27

“But it by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect.  No, I worked harder than all of them–yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me.” 1 Corinthians 15:10

2. What needs changing?

  • Sanctification = the progressive work of God and man that makes us more and more free from sin and more like Christ in our lives.
  • We are sanctified when Jesus saves us, and this process continues up til death.
  • Upon death in Christ, we are fully and completely sanctified.
  • Would you ask your wife, best friend, or another person, what are 3 areas that do not reflect Christ?

“Am I growing more or less irritated these days?”

“Am I growing more or less discouraged these days?” Dallas Williard

3. Who will you lead to change?

“In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.” Matthew 5:16

“Live such good lives among the pagans that, though they accuse you of doing wrong, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day he visits us.” 1 Peter 2:12
