Somebody once said, “The Gospel came to the Greeks and the Greeks turned it into a philosophy. The Gospel came to the Romans and the Romans turned it into a system. The Gospel came to the Europeans and the Europeans turned it into a culture. The Gospel came to America and the Americans turned it into a business.”
“And business is booming. Millions of churchgoers file into buildings each week, line up in rows like shelves at Walmart, and watch the stage. They come for one purpose: to see a show and hear a pastor.” Ed Stetzer
The mission of Mount Ararat is to make disciples. Our strategy is to connect people to God, to one another, and to serving the world. Three relationships: God, one another, world. Three environments: Worship, small groups, and service. Salvation and Discipleship is not a theology, a doctrine, an event, or a place — IT IS A RELATIONSHIP!
What are you doing to grow in your relationship with Jesus?
Does your life reflect an inner connection and submission to the person of Jesus?
Are you sharing this relationship you have with Jesus with others?
Or are you consuming a product to help your life?
We are called to receive the gospel! We are called to share the gospel! We are called to be the gospel!
